Czech November Producer Inflation Steady at 0.9%
Producer prices in the Czech Republic increased 0.9 percent year-on-year in November 2019, the same pace as in the previous month and below market expectations of a 1 percent gain. Producer inflation remained at its lowest level since April last year, as prices slowed for mining & quarrying (3.2 percent vs 3.6 percent in October) and continued to fall for manufacturing (-0.7 percent vs -0.4 percent). Meantime, inflation was steady for water supply (at 2.9 percent) while cost advanced faster for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (8.9 percent vs 7.5 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went down 0.1 percent, after decreasing 0.3 percent in the prior month while markets had expected cost to remain unchanged.

Czech Producer Inflation at 1-1/2-Year Low of 0.9%
Producer prices in the Czech Republic went up 0.9 percent year-on-year in October 2019, easing from a 1.9 percent rise in the previous month and missing market expectation of a 1.3 percent gain. It was the lowest producer inflation since April last year, as prices softened for mining & quarrying (3.6 percent vs 6.6 percent in September) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (7.5 percent vs 7.7 percent). In addition, cost fell for manufactured products (-0.4 percent vs 0.7 percent). Meantime, prices advanced at the same pace for water supply (2.9 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 0.3 percent, after increasing 0.1 percent in the prior month and against market estimates of a 0.1 percent gain.

Czech Producer Inflation Slows to 16-Month Low
Producer prices in Czech Republic rose 1.9 percent year-on-year in September 2019, easing from a 2.1 percent gain in the previous month and matching market expectations. It was the lowest producer inflation rate since May last year, as cost slowed for intermediate goods (0.2 percent vs 0.5 percent in August) and energy (3 percent vs 3.4 percent). On the other hand, prices advanced further for capital goods (1.9 percent vs 1.8 percent); durable consumer (2.3 percent vs 2.1 percent) and non-durable consumer goods (3.7 percent vs 3.5 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 0.1 percent, the same pace as in the prior month.

Producer prices in Czech Republic increased 2.1 percent year-on-year in August 2019, the same pace as in the previous month but above market expectations of a 1.9 percent gain. Prices advanced at the same pace for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation services (2.9 percent) while slowed for mining & quarrying (6.8 percent vs 6.9 percent); electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (7.7 percent vs 8.0 percent) and manufacturing (0.8 percent vs 0.9 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 0.1 percent, reversing a 0.1 percent decrease in the previous month and against market expectations of a 0.1 percent drop.

Producer prices in Czech Republic increased 2.1 percent year-on-year in July 2019, easing further from a 2.5 percent rise in the prior month and slightly below market expectations of a 2.2 percent gain. This is the lowest producer inflation since May last year, as prices softened for mining & quarrying (6.9 percent vs 7.1 percent in June) and manufacturing (0.9 percent vs 1.4 percent in June). Meanwhile, inflation was steady for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation services (at 2.9 percent). In contrast, cost rose slightly faster for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (8 percent vs 7.9 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went down 0.1 percent, after a 0.7 percent decrease in the previous month and matching market expectations.

Czech Producer Inflation Rate at 5-Month Low
Producer prices in Czech Republic rose 2.5 percent year-on-year in June 2019, easing from a 3.8 percent increase in the prior month and below market expectations of a 3.2 percent gain. It was the lowest producer inflation rate since December 2018, as cost slowed for manufacturing (1.4 percent vs 2.9 percent in May), particularly for basic metals & fabricated metal products (0.9 percent vs 1.1 percent) and machinery & equipment (2.0 percent vs 2.3 percent). In addition, prices advanced at a softer pace for mining & quarrying (7.1 percent vs 7.5 percent) and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (7.9 percent vs 8.6 percent). Meanwhile, inflation was steady for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation services (at 2.9 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 0.7 percent, following a 0.5 percent gain in May.
